What are the different types of reviews?
There are generally three (3) types of grant reviews used to evaluate
discretionary grant applications: on-site, remote, and hybrid (a
combination of on-site and remote). On-site reviews are weeklong
events typically held in the Washington, DC area; remote reviews
are fully electronic reviews completed from the reviewer’s
location; hybrid reviews require the reviewer to read and score
the application from their location, and then travel to Washington,
D.C. to meet with their panel and finalize the evaluations.
